Each home will feature a selection of hors d’oeuvres, desserts and wines from area chefs, including Cecilia’s Cakes, Epting Events, home.made, Marti’s at Midday, The National and Shiraz Fine Wines & Gourmet. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Heritage Foundation’s efforts to advocate for preservation of historic buildings, neighborhoods and heritage. Established in 1856, this scenic riverside cemetery is the final resting place for Confederate generals, football heroes, national leaders, and musicians. Join Historian Charlotte Marshall as she evokes the storied past of Athens’ former citizens and the beautifully distinctive tombstones which memorialize them.
